GoHighLevel free trial: what's free, what's charged, and when
Every HighLevel plan has a 14-day free trial with full access to that plan. The plan fee is waived, but usage is not: texts, calls, phone numbers and emails you send during the trial are billed. When it ends, billing starts automatically at $97, $297 or $497 a month unless you cancel first.

What the trial includes
The pricing page says: Yes, we offer a 14-day free trial. You get full access to the features of your chosen tier so you can set up your account, build funnels, and test automations before you pay a dime.

What you can be charged during the trial
The trial covers the plan fee only. The pricing page says: Billing begins automatically at the end of any free trial unless canceled, and usage-based fees for telecommunications or third-party services may apply during the trial.

Here is what a modest test of texting, calling and email would cost at HighLevel's US and Canada rates:

That's about $38.89, and most of it is the one-time A2P registration and the monthly campaign fee. If you test only email and calling, it comes to a few dollars.
When billing starts
At the end of the trial, billing starts for the plan you chose:

Yearly billing costs ten months of the monthly price, and it is as close to a GoHighLevel lifetime deal as HighLevel's own terms allow. You can change plan later; the pricing page says: You can upgrade from Starter to Unlimited (or Pro) as you sign more clients. If you upgrade mid-month, you will only be charged the prorated difference. You can also downgrade if your needs change.

How to cancel before you're charged
HighLevel's help center gives these steps: Go to Agency Settings and click on Billing. Click on "Want to modify/cancel your subscription?" Click Show More in the pop-up. Select Cancel Plan.

There is no contract to work out. The pricing page says: No. HighLevel operates on a month-to-month basis. There are no long-term contracts, and you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your account at any time directly from your dashboard.

Is there a 30-day GoHighLevel free trial?
Yes, through HighLevel's Bootcamp page, which pairs a longer trial with live onboarding sessions. That page says: When you sign up for a free 30-day trial of HighLevel, you will not be charged the subscription cost; however, communication surcharges may apply. These costs are based on usage. After your trial period ends, monthly subscription and usage fees may apply.

Do you need a credit card for the trial?
The official pages we read don't say it in those words. The pricing page says billing begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel, and the Bootcamp sign-up form has a "Payment Information" step, so expect to enter a card.
Is the free trial completely free?
The plan fee is. Usage is not: the pricing page says usage-based fees for telecommunications and third-party services may apply during the trial. The table above prices a small test at about $38.89.
What happens when the trial ends?
